The Grape Island Tourism Comprehensive Zone project is located between the Yanghe River mouth and the artificial river mouth in the eastern part of the Forest Park, near the sea area of the Beidaihe New District, Qinhuangdao. This project is an artificial land reclamation project, with the artificial island shaped like a grape, approximately 500 meters from the natural coastline. It is connected to the mainland by an ocean-crossing sightseeing bridge. The sea area of the Purple Grape Island is 1,148,441 square meters, with a land reclamation area of 485,478 square meters and a total planned construction area of 892,804 square meters.
Focusing on yachting, the Purple Grape Island has completed land reclamation. Future projects include the Yellow Grape Island, themed around leisure vacations, the Red Grape Island, themed around financial tourism, and the Green Grape Island, themed around creative tourism.
