Located in Qingzhou City, Huanghuaxi is renowned for its beautiful scenery and is often referred to as the ‘Northern Jiuzhaigou’ by numerous tourists.
The scenic area is surrounded by towering peaks and features a secluded valley with a dramatic presence; clear streams converge into waves, and thousands of waterfalls splash, creating an atmosphere as if reaching the sea and piercing the clouds.
On both banks, lilacs shine against the red cliffs, and a stream of yellow flowers reflects in the green pools. The steep cliffs, deep canyons, babbling brooks, and spectacular waterfalls make it the first Skyfall Valley in Shandong, forming an overall layout of ‘one axis for a panoramic view, two rings combining, six areas connecting, and twelve scenes shining.’ Based on natural resources such as water, stone, mountains, and forests, this area constructs thematic landscapes.
According to the distribution of natural resources in the valley, it is divided into six scenic areas: Origin Forest, Carefree Ferry, Universal Boat, Enlightenment Mountain, Yellow Flower Slope, and Ox Head Mountain, creating a destination for sightseeing and leisure vacations.
Tourist Guide: Upon entering the scenic area, a waterfall will catch your eye, cascading down along the stone walls and running through the greenery. Passing through an antique-style corridor, you will arrive at a suspension bridge, with a double-eaved pavilion at the end where you can overlook the beautiful scene of three waterfalls merging.
Crossing the river on stones and sitting on a rock in the middle, you can touch the mountain water and feel the coolness from nature. In the center of the pool, there is a small wooden bridge, and crossing it will lead you to a waterfall. The waterfall’s water flows straight down, and a cave is carved in the cliff where the waterfall passes, offering an interesting experience as visitors pass through the waterfall.
Visiting the entire scenic area won’t take too long, but it is well worth savoring during the process.
